Happy New Year

To see the New Year in we were kindly invited to Maggie and Andy's, in Gloucestershire. The weather hadn't been too good in between Christmas and New Year, but as you can see New Year's day was glorious, but a bit parky. We did a walk around Frampton-on-Severn and along the Sharpness Canal.

Some people arrived in style at the Three Horseshoes pub. Do drink driving laws apply to a horse and cart?

Back in Ringwood the temperature plummeted and we were seeing night time temperatures of -8C and daytime temperatures barely reaching 0C. I think we got off lightly, the lowest temperature recorded in Scotland was -22C.

Here we are by our local lake.

Today is 13th January and not a lot has been happening during the last week for us because of the poor weather conditions. We have managed a couple of walks around the block and I went rambling last Saturday afternoon. Being housebound I have made good progress with 'Quantum of Solace' on my X Box (Christmas present). I have had to cheat a little by watching sections of it on You Tube.
I'll leave you with this fact - Melbourne, Australia had a temperature of 37C at midnight 2 nights ago. HOT or WOT!
